What makes us different?

Other cycling websites exist, but none bring together bespoke, ready-to-ride 4-day routes you can tackle on your own schedule with your own crew. Sites like EuroVelo are limited to their own cycle network, meaning incredible roads and scenery outside it simply don't make the cut. Platforms like Exodus lock you into organised group tours on fixed dates. And while Strava and Komoot have great routes, you're still left doing the work of stitching them into a multi-day trip yourself.

Are these group tours?

These are not group tours you sign up to - they're routes and itineraries you get access to and ride on your own terms, whether that's solo or with a group of friends.

How do I access the exact route?

Just drop us an email at eurocycleroutes@gmail.com and we'll send over the GPX file or Komoot link, along with the full itinerary covering recommended stops, accommodation and logistics. Each day plan is £25 - £100 for a complete 4-day trip.

Each day plan is £25, making the full 4-day trip £100. Individual days are available to purchase, though the routes are designed to work as a complete 4-day experience. You are obviously more than welcome to use the information provided on the site already to create your own detailed routes and itinerary.

What fitness level is required?

Accepted Answer

Some cycling experience is recommended to both complete and enjoy the routes. To follow the itinerary we will provide you should be comfortable riding at 20–25km/h for stretches of up to 2 hours. You don't need to be a seasoned cyclist by any means, but the fitter you are, the more you'll get out of it. If you are unable to cycle at the recommended average speeds or you would like to use an electric bike that needs charging, you will just need to give yourself more time during the day to get between the destinations.

What bike should I use?

We all ride the trips on road bikes, ranging from more affordable options like the Giant Contend 2 to higher-end Cannondale builds. Road or hybrid tyres are recommended - the vast majority of the riding is on asphalt. If you are looking to ride on an electric bike you will need to factor in how long the battery lasts, where you will be able to charge the bike, and how long it will take - to ensure you have enough time to get to the end of the day route.

What can I expect the riding conditions to be like?

Generally Cycleways will be the most common Way Type for each day, however there is also Road riding and Cycle paths. Most Road riding will be on quieter countryside roads to avoid heavier car traffic however it's not always possible to completely avoid this, especially for the final parts of day when entering a larger city. You can expect Asphalt to be by far the most common Surface, however there will be occasional short spells on Gravel and Cobblestones.

Do you need a support vehicle?

You don't need a support vehicle, we have always carried all of our equipment and clothing on the bikes with us. When you request more details you will be provided with packing lists as well as recommended bike set ups. There is nothing stopping you using a support vehicle if you wanted to, you will just need to consider the extra logistics for this, as it will not be provided in the package you purchase.
